"Blessed Mother Mary, the Rosary, and You

About the Book:
This book, especially for ages 7 to 14, will not only transform individuals but bring family and friends together in prayer. It passes on the gift of Heavenly Mother Mary and one of the Church's most powerful sacramentals. More than ever, young people need peace and hope. As a teacher, the author felt the responsibility to provide needed tools of faith.
What grew out of Rosanne's love of the Rosary is a 186 page resource. It has step-by-step directions on how to use the prayer beads. With black and white illustrations, it is meant to be personalized. It is sprinkled with questions for writing and drawing reflection. Bible references, history, facts, and quotes encourage further research and technology use. Challenges for sharing the Rosary are included. Over 26 activity ideas are suggested for the 'Multiple Intelligences' (according to Howard Gardner's theory). These include opportunities for collaboration. In addition, you'll find self-evaluation, suggested resources, and more.
This guided journal could be used for family time or prayer groups. It is ideal for Catholic home schooling, religious education, or youth ministry, Learning goals and guiding questions help meet religious ed. standards. The varied, organized activities require minimal preparation and materials. With a beautiful hardcover, it makes a perfect gift for Communions, Confirmation or Holidays. Consider adding rosaries, pens, pencils and a Bible. Its 6x9 size makes it easy to carry.

Behind the Book:
President of the Columbiette's (a Catholic charity group) planted a seed. She was helping Rosanne with the promise she made to pray on rosaries and give them away. With this group and her husband, Rosanne has sent out about 3,000 rosaries! They prayed it at a local nursing home and started a children's Rosary.
It was wonderful to be joined by those who knew how to pray, but many had forgotten. Rosanne saw the need to reignite reverence to this powerful devotion. She was intent on finding the best way for people to understand and spread it. The Holy Spirit took over.
What Makes the Book Different:
Rosanne found many wonderful materials. Yet she envisioned something comprehensive. She wanted to make the Rosary relevant and relatable. As the reader journeys through the book, the author hopes they come to love the Rosary.
During apparitions in Poland, Portugal, Germany, Japan, and Bosnia, the 'Mother of God' urged the Rosary be prayed! Saints and Popes heralded the Rosary as a spiritual weapon and remedy. The author made sure this book reflected its significance. Not only will it prompt an appreciation for the Rosary, but help in responding to the call to evangelization.
