Behind the Book:
For over twenty years, Rosanne transcribed uplifting thoughts into her journals. When she came across someone's published journal, it planted a seed.
The author prayed for direction. She dreamt that an old man approached her suggesting, "Why don't you call it: If You Gave God a Gift?"
Running with the idea, the title became the framework and the project took on a spiritual direction of its own. From God's perspective, what would a gift look like? The format evolved as she came up with the gifts (the 7 chapters):
1. GRATITUDE
2. LIFE
3. GROWTH
4. FORGIVENESS
5. CHARITY
6. LOVE
7. FAITH
What Makes the Book Different:
One of her friends, a writing teacher, prompted her to relate the quotes to her own experiences. Thus the book became an anthology / memoir hybrid.
When she thought her project was nearly complete, she came across a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson: "I hate quotations. Tell me what you know."
Her whole project was undermined! What did she know?
Thus evolved her own quote for each chapter.
Highlights:
Father John Gatzak, Director, Manager and Producer of ORTV (Office of Radio & Television), hosted Rosanne on "That's the Spirit" to talk about her book.
The photograph for the cover of this book was exhibited at a show by the 'Stanley L. Richter Association for the Arts.' It won an 'Award of Merit.'
